Abstract:

Bolboceras darjeelicans sp. nov. is described and diagnosed in the nigricans species group of the genus Bolboceras Kirby, 1819 with supporting illustrations of clypeus, pronotum, left elytron, scutellum and aedeagus. The new species is compared with closely related species in the group and a key to the world species has been prepared. This is the 8th species of the genus in nigricans group described new to science and 6th for India.
